Finally up and running!

My blog is finally up and running! After a long battle in Israel, Egypt, and Jordan, it's finally here.

A little bit about myself:
I graduated from Reed College in Portland, OR in 2007 with a B.A. in Psychology. My senior thesis focused on memory, attention, and emotion as I tracked participants' eye movements while watching an emotional slide presentation. The results were not as strong as I would have liked, but live and learn.

My goals for a degree in Media Psychology are understand and improve various forms of media by consulting with movie companies, filmmakers, and other types of social media. I have an odd feeling that over the course of the next couple years, this very vague answer will be finely tuned as I discover and learn more about media psychology.

On a more personal note, I love to travel (I need more pages in my passport) and take pictures. Some of my photos can be found at www.flickr.com/lnwhite if you're curious. I'm currently in Israel and have just come back from Jordan and Egypt. About a month ago, I was in the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands. It's been a long journey and I am very much looking forward to returning home to Seattle and starting my studies in media psychology.
